I love designing icons because it forces me to break down complex ideas into the simplest parts. It often requires me to take an idea and turn it on its head to create a simple, yet readable, design to represent the idea.
This is the challenge of design that I love. For 2U, where I work as a graphic designer, I was tasked with creating an icon pack to represent the company's core "pillars of success" as well as other icons to be used in broader applications.
I developed the style – simple line icons with rounded edges – to be scalable at any size. These icons can be easily reversed and used in many different applications. This was a challenging but fun project.
