COLOR Action Fund “provides a voice on reproductive rights, health and justice for Latinas, their families and allies.” For this campaign, we were asked to highlight the importance of Latina voices in the discussion of reproductive rights.
The first two campaigns were provided: a version that showcased illustrations of Latinas from a variety of backgrounds with the hashtag #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs and the second was to show one Latina protesting with the words “Our Vote, Our Power”.
I was asked to create a third concept, so I worked closely with the Director of Content to develop the idea for an animated or carousel ad that would identify the importance of elections to Latina rights. The idea was to build up from solidarity to unity with the following phrases: #ElectionsMatter for Me, #ElectionsMatter for You, #ElectionsMatter for Us. The imagery would show a solitary person or family unit for the first two slides and then bring in the importance of unity by showing a variety of Latina women who would be impacted by not having their voices heard during election season.
For these campaigns, I developed the illustrations and the design layouts.
